Prosper Eagles Take Another Win!!!

As the school year winds down, the Prosper High School Baseball Team is winding up! Last night, May 24th the Eagles and their fans were victorious over the much-anticipated fight with the Cleburne Yellowjackets.

It was packed seating at the Eagle’s Nest with both the Yellowjackets and the Eagle’s fans ready to take the win.

Both teams remained scoreless up until the third inning when the Yellowjackets found their momentum and sending two of their players through home plate. However, the Eagles took over the game with major plays from Dawson Zey (#10) and Kendall Foster (#20). Prosper took the lead in the fourth inning with a score of 3-2, but the Yellowjackets tied it back up 3-3 during the fifth.

Prosper’s Jax Alley (#44) wowed the fans when he hit the ball out of the park in the sixth inning, bringing Taylor Pendley (#5) home with him to finish the win. The Eagles beat Cleburne with a final score of 5-3.

The teams will face each other again today at 1:30pm on Cleburne turf in game 2 of round 4 regional semi-final. If the Eagle’s pull off another win today, Prosper fans may start the Summer off cheering the boys right into the 2018 High School Baseball State Championship! FANTASTIC JOB and GOOD LUCK, today, Eagles!!!!
