The Lady Eagles matched up against Lake Dallas on Friday, March 23rd, with a mindset to dominate…and that is exactly what they did. This was no ordinary game. It was the final game that Prosper’s 6 seniors would be on their home turf. The team honored seniors #3 Maycie McDougal, #4 Peyton Jefferson, #8 Kristin Knipe, #15 Kat Rogers, #22 Cameron Larsen, and trainer/manager Cece Ange before the game for their Senior Night.
With more to celebrate, Prosper took the field and their first goal by Freshman Natalie Smathers was scored only 2 minutes into the game. Back-to-back goals from Kristen Knipe, Caroline Havard, Kat Rogers, and Cameron Larsen brought the Eagles ahead 6-0 with 6 minutes left in the first half of the game.
During the beginning of the second half, Prosper’s offense continued to be hot and they gained two more goals by senior Peyton Jefferson and a penalty kick from senior Maycie McDougal. A truly exciting night for these seniors, as each of them scored! Prosper beat Lake Dallas 8-0.
The Lady Eagles finished District play with a perfect 14-0 season! They now head into playoff season and will go up against Frisco High School at McKinney High on Thursday, March 29 at 6:00pm.
