Prosper XC Boys Advance to State for First Time in School History

The Prosper Eagles boys and girls cross country teams competed at the Region II UIL Cross Country Championship on Monday in Grand Prairie. The boys team finished in fourth and created history by being the first boys team at Prosper High School to advance on to the State meet. The boys team consisted of Sam Rizzo, who finished 6th overall, Wyatt Landis, Alex Velez, Leon Valdman, Adam Schofield, Nick Guerrero, Hamilton Burdett, Andrew Blanco, Carter Dereberry and Jacob Cronin.

Emily Patterson finished in the top 10 with an eighth place finish. Both Emily Patterson and Tatum Castillo are advancing to the the State meet on the girls side.

The UIL Cross Country State Championships will be held November 4, 2017 at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock, Texas.
