Prosper ISD Hires Head Football Coach for Rock Hill High School.


Prosper ISD is proud to announce the Lone Finalist for Head Football Coach and Campus Coordinator for the district’s newest high school, Rock Hill High School, opening in the Fall of 2020.

Coach Mark Humble is coming to Prosper from Lone Star High School where he has served as the Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks coach. In the 2019 Season, Coach Humble helped coach the #1 Ranked team in the State, the District 5-5A Champions, that finished with a 14-1 State Semi-Final run.

Coach Humble was part of a State Championship team at Killeen High School, went on to play quarterback at SMU while earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in History & Communications. He began his 3 year college coaching career at SMU coaching Running Backs while earning his Masters Degree. Coach Humble has 20+ years of coaching experience and 18 years of teaching experience with previous coordinating stops at Southlake Carroll, Plano East, Texas HIgh, Keller High and Grand Prairie High School.

Coach Humble is happily married to Kerri and they have two children, Kaylee (7 Grade) and Hudson (5 Grade). Coach Humble enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, fitness, reading, loves music, and watching movies.

Lone Star High School Athletic Coordinator, Coach Jeff Rayburn, weighed in on Coach Humble’s selection stating that “Mark Humble is a dynamic leader and difference maker in coaching and education. He has an uncanny ability to bring out the best in others. He is a tremendous leader and a great football mind. I am excited to see the success he will bring to Rock Hill High School and Prosper ISD.”

Prosper ISD Athletic Director, Valerie Little, said that “We are very excited to have a coach who is the caliber of Mark Humble join our Prosper ISD Family as the new Head Blue Hawk. Out of the over 300 people that applied, it was obvious Coach Humble possesses the qualities we look for in a leader in Prosper ISD. He has over 20 years of experience in high caliber programs and has influenced and mentored hundreds of kids across the metro-plex in both high school and college programs. We are excited to welcome him and his family and look forward to the great things he will do at Rock Hill.”

Coach Humble will officially begin as a Rock Hill Blue Hawk the beginning of January.
