Coach King said, “Not only is this a very talented team, they are one of the hardest working groups I have ever coached.” He went on to say, “The Senior leadership is a blessing and they have done a great job bringing the team together from Freshmen to Seniors.” The schedule for the remaining part of December will include a home dual against Allen High School, the #1 ranked team in Texas and #18 ranked team in the entire country. During this dual, the middle school teams, Lady Eagles, JV and Varsity will all compete. On December 9th, the Lady Eagles will be competing at The Texas Ladies Classic, while the Varsity squad will travel to Frisco Centennial for another grueling tournament at the Titan Games. The other duals during December include:
Independence High School (away) 12/14/17
The Colony (home, admin-large gym) 12/21/17
Other tournaments for the month include the Keller Timber Creek Christmas Classic on the 16th and wrapping up the year with undoubtedly the toughest tournament in the state, the Texas Outlaw at Allen High School on December 22nd and 23rd. This tournament will include the best teams from around the state as well as many out of state teams coming from as far away as Kansas, Missouri and Nevada.
Also, worth noting are the middle school teams from Rogers and Reynolds. On November 29th, the teams travelled to Lovejoy to compete in a dual. The Prosper teams dominated the evening. Saturday, December 2nd, the middle school teams participated in the A-Town Showdown at Allen, where 29 of the 45 Prosper wrestlers brought home medals. The middle school teams have over 15 girls and 40 boys participating.
No matter if you are a wrestling fan or not, the team would love to have the community’s support as they fight their way to the top.
