Prosper High School Announces New Varsity Baseball Coach

Upon the retirement of Coach Rick Carpenter, Prosper High School is excited announce new Varsity Head Coach Scott Holder!! Coach Holder comes to us from College Station High School and just like his predecessor, is the only other baseball coach in Texas to have won 2 State Championships at 2 different high schools!

Coach Holder was welcomed this evening by the Prosper Athletic Department, players and coaches, as well as several PHS administrators. The Eagle Baseball program is fortunate to gain Coach Holder, whose accomplishments include:

Career Record:  455-142

13 District Titles

2 State Championships (2005, 2014) (Only Coach in TX other than Carpenter to do this at 2 different schools) 

2 State Semi-Finalists (2006, 2016)

2013-2018 District 19-5A Coach of the Year

2014, 2016 All Brazos Valley Coach of the Year

Selected as 5-6A South All-Star Head Coach in 2015 by THSBCA

2018  Selected to speak at THSCA Convention—“Building a Championship Culture”

2018 Selected to compete in Perfect Game National High School Showcase

2015 Selected to compete in Baseball USA National High School Invitational

2015 #3 National Ranking by Baseball USA

2014 TSWA, THSBCA Coach of the Year

2008-2012 28-AAA District Coach of the Year

 2008, 2009  All Advocate Area Coach of the Year

2005-2006 29-A District Coach of the Year

2005 TSWA, THSBCA Coach of the Year

 2005- 2006 All Centex- Coach of the Year
