The Prosper Swim and Dive team competed on Saturday against 22 competitive schools and came out on top. Weston Sitz and Parker Burton came in first and second place respectively in the diving competition.
The Prosper High School girls team came in first place with 430 points overall. Braiden Velleta contributed to this win by dropping an impressive ten seconds from her best 500-meter swim. Hannah Schultze also had a record day, besting her personal record in the 100-meter fly. The Prosper High School boys team came in second place overall with 431 points. Kyle Valdez placed first in the 500-meter free and the 200 IM and Zachary Wachter placed first in the 100-meter butterfly and the 100-meter freestyle.
Many of the Prosper swimmers were consistently in the top eight and most were always in the top 16, which aided in the overall team scores and bringing Prosper to the lead.
