Prosper Volleyball opened up tournament play today with a 3-1 win over defending TAPPS State Champion Prestonwood Christian. The Eagles defeated the Lions by the scores of: 22-25, 25-14, 25-20, 25-23.
Highlights from the match include 16 kills, 16 digs and 3 aces by Sami Jacobs; 9 kills and 2 aces by Nikki Steinheiser; 7 kills and 4 blocks by Bailey Birmingham; 4 blocks each from Shaylee Shore and Taylor Youtsey; 14 digs by Kacey Aherns; 30 assists from Mackenzie Jefferson and 20 assists from Jazz Ford.
Prosper then went on to beat Frisco Liberty 3-2 in a close 5 set match: 19-25, 25-23, 25-23, 21-25, 15-4

Prosper faces Southlake Carroll in the semis tomorrow at 11:30am and plays either the finals at 4:30pm or the Third place game at 4:30pm.
