Prosper Lacrosse announced the hiring of John Marano as the new head coach.

Representatives from the Prosper Education Foundation, Prosper Ladies Association and the Prosper Rotary Club attended a special dinner last week at the Plano Event Center hosted by The Collin College Scholarship Foundation.

Before the regular meeting began, Seth Phillips, speech and debate coach at Prosper High School, spoke to the Board and invited each of the members to serve as a VIP judge in the final round of the speech and debate tournament in the last week of October.

Last week someone was hateful towards me. I’m not talking about road rage or a quick rude comment, I mean intentionally hateful in their behavior and dialogue towards me.

Following the school board meeting Monday night, PISD Superintendent Dr. Watkins spoke to four young ladies, high school students, to congratulate them on completing yet another requirement for the Ready, Set, Teach Program in Prosper ISD.
